Gala Dinner

The ISHA conference gala dinner will be held in the historic Casino de Madrid.

The Casino de Madrid is an iconic members club dating back to 1836, when a group of young intellectuals, tired of socio-political hustling, decided to find a quiet place where they could meet in peace and harmony. The Casino began in a series of modest buildings, moving sporadically until, in 1910, it settled in the luxurious premises it now occupies.

Here is your opportunity to experience this beautiful private members club for yourself. Guests will commence the evening with cocktails in the stunning Patio Central before moving to the beautiful Salon Real for an exquisite three course meal prepared with the best available ingredients.

After dinner entertainment will be provided by renowned flamenco dancer, Eva Manzano. The dancer from Granada, began her professional training under the tutorage of Mariquilla and Matilde Coral. She was granted a scholarship at the prestigious Cristina Heeren Foundation of Flamenco Art in Seville.

She has studied with such teachers as Angelita Vargas, Carmen Lesdesma, Milagros Menjibar, Merche Esmeralda, Manolo Soler, and El Mimbre.

She has performed in renowned tablaos in Seville (La Casa de la Memoria), Granada (Tablao Albayzín, Venta del Gallo and Jardines de Zoraya) and Madrid (Torres Bermejas).

In 2006 she was awarded the prize ‘Art and Creativity’ by the Hon. City Council of Baza, Granada. She teaches flamenco internationally. She has just released one of her most avant-garde projects, Íberofonía, together with the contemporary dancer Joana Brito, and is currently part of the show ‘Lorca, Poeta Flamenco’ at the Cultural Flamenco in Madrid.

We are providing coaches to the Casino de Madrid, which will depart from the  Melia Castilla Hotel at  7:30 pm.

Tickets for the Gala Dinner are €140 inc VAT at 10% and can be booked on the registration form.
